GoWear Fit - anyone have one?

I trying to get a gowear fit armband and display - they do not ship to Canada - Dicks sporting goods was out of them when I went across the border to purchase

So...does anyone have one and how did you get it?

What is it?

Hi Wendy

You wear it on your arm and it measures all caloric expenditures - not just steps - you can upload on to your computer to measure against your goals- add your food etc
It is a total management system for eating/working out/expending calories

I read about it on the main board a month or so ago.

I love a toy that will keep me focused

Stephanie on Ontario board does sorry her exact online name escapes me - she is always on the RNY main board too - I think she got one from a friend in the states who mailed it to her - she will see your post I am sure and chime in .

I have an email a couple months old now that they tell me they are working on getting them to Canada- I will be stateside in August and think I might get one. Glad to know Dicks has them or in your case maybe not - might have to ship it to the relatives in Florida and have them send it to me.

My big thing is for the summer I mostly am swimming each day in our pool so it would be off during that time - I am in the pool a lot of the day - so that is why I have held off.

Its a version of the black arm band that you see the Biggest Loser Contestants wear on the show.

If you look on the RNY board there is usually a daily thread about the peeps who are wearing them - the ups and downs and the ins and outs!

LOL.... that would be me :) As for the pool, you can input activity for the time that you had it off, so while probably not as accurate, it would still be counted in your activity!

 Guess I missed that part of the info - very short attention span!

I was thinking it wouldnt track my exercise if I didnt have the sucker on - didnt realize you can input the activity you did- no I dont think it will accurately reflect crazy woman in pool dancing and swimming and running to her Ipod held on with a headband so the controls on the earplug thingy dont get damaged - a girl just cant get down without the disco tunes!

its called a bodybug .... i think the website is called www.bogybug.com, and they will ship to canada, but they are quite pricey ...

I use to be a huge ebayer and they have them on there.

Not only are they alot of money they only give you a 6 mth prescription to the website and then you have to pay for it.

I believe they are on the biggest loser website because they all used them on the show.
