Pork Rinds Or Also Called Pork Skins
Since someone asked me why on earth I bought Pork Rinds I figured let's do a post on Pork Rinds or Pork Skins either name they are called. I see them called for in alot of recipes in low carb. When I saw them in the states I bought a bag {99 cents} 0 carb 0 sugar 9 protein. I was kinda excited. So anyways was showing my daughter when I got home and she says what are they made of. I looked at them and said well I assume the same as cheeto's as lets face it they seem to have the same texture. She said Mom I think it's real pig skin. I am like no way who the F would eat real pig skin. I grab the bag like the know it all mom and look for ingredients. Well I'll be damned there isn't any. Hmmmmm so I decide to search on the net but as I set the bag down I see it. It says Ingredients: Pork Skins, Salt.
I almost fell off my chair. First I was apalled. Then I was like well they got no carbs OMG How LOW I GO for NO CARBS. LMAO
In alot of recipes they use these instead of bread crumbs which could prove helpful when cooking. Anyways that's my new gross thing I learned in my RNY journey. Had the cat scan today am not feeling very good from the crud they inject in you as you go through the tube so spent most of the day lying down. Sorry I haven't written on posts but I don't feel so hot so going back to lie down.
Love you all

They are in alot of low carb recipes thus why I bought them. Supposedly they are awesome to use instead of bread crumbs. The counts are good too. Calories for 1/2 oz {they are very light} 80, Fat 5g, Carbs 0, Sugars 0. So they are awesome for using in recipes. My Mom says we use to eat them when kids haha.
Thanks for the wishes. I wish I could find that happy medium where I am no longer sick. Although today I hit my 100 lb loss and that's with starting that time of month so that's good. I vomitted only once in the last 2 weeks so I am improving.
I have decided to do about 35 to 40 carbs a day. That's net carbs {going to stick closer to 35} so that's with minus'ing the fibre.
I think that will work best for me.
Thank you again for the support means a great deal.
