Mini goals
Didn't really think a lot about how they were spaced out though! My last mini-goal was 235lbs (to weigh less than my husband). Seems like I've been waiting FOREVER to hit the next one.
I've just realized that my next FOUR mini-goals are all smack dab together! And this morning I ALMOST hit the first one - kind of disappointing - but I thought I'd share anyway.
MG#1 - hit 203.9. Since I've been 26 or so, I've been over 204. Twice, in really successful dieting periods, I got to 204. And stuck there. For weeks, until I got discouraged and started the upward climb. This is a psychological barrier to pass! This morning - I was 204.1 AARRRGGG!! So close I can taste it!
MG#2 - 199.9. Self-explanatory.
MG#3 - 196.9 - no longer obese - happy to be overweight!
MG#4 - 194 - 100lbs lost.
Hopefully the next month or so will be a VERY happy one!
What are your mini-goals? Please share - and then we can have a super motivating end of the year where we all celebrate these successes!!
I set mini goals by trying to focus on the one number change {second number} so in sets of 10. I have so much to lose any other way to do it would be overwhelming at this point.
Since I am down so close, my goal has changed a bit now to get to twoterville. {21 lbs to go}
From there it will go back to the 10's until I get near like 250, then 200 etc.
Your doing awesome!!! WTG and I will be waiting to cheer for you in a day or two when you surpass your MG #1!!!!
Elizabeth
PS have a great weekeend
You had your surgery not too long before me (I remember watching your journey as I waited for my surgery date to arrive). Your weight loss has blown me away! You are doing GREAT!
Can't wait to hear you reached twoterville! I bet it won't be long!
What wonderful progress!!! YOu have done amazingly well...Congrats
Mini goals???? I'm just 2 and a half weeks out and still on the puree stage...Trying to get all my water and protein in for the most part. I'm sure as time goes by and I'll be eating some real food, I will have some substantial mini goals...but right now concentrating on my water and proteins. Good luck <3 Dina

I set my mini-goals before I had surgery! I had a goal for my SW, and then down from there. Just more "reachable" for me to think in small increments!
Goals can be non-scale goals too - hitting your protein goal for 5 days straight, or something like that! That might be a good one for you right now.
Enjoy those purees (yuck). Soon you'll be on real food and this fluid/puree torture will seem like a faded memory!
MG #1 - Hit 206lbs, which for me is a 50lb loss
MG #2- Onederland - Of course, I'm in the exact same situation as you. I weighed myself yesterday and was 200.0. Weighed myself this morning thinking for sure I'd be in Onederland by now....and was....you guessed it....200.0! Talk about frustrating! I hope this isn't yet another stall and that the scale will drop tomorrow.
MG # 3 - To be less than my husband, who is hovering around 190.
MG #4 - This one's not a number - but another goal is to go toboganning with my kids this winter - and actually participate instead of standing at the bottom of the hill watching them have fun with my husband.
Unfortunately for me - I'm using my wii fit to track my weight these days (mostly 'cause of that wonky scale!) so I can't really make it react the way I want to anymore! Accuracy sucks. lol
The tobogganing goal is a great one! I'm thinking about trying down hill skiing this year (omg scared). That will be a real amazing treat! ;-)
Good luck with 199.9 - I'm sure we'll see that in the next day or two!
It's funny, I thought 225 would be a major milestone but I'm sitting right around there - just need AF to hit the road and I'll be back on my journey for Onederland (hopefully for Christmas/New Years).
I enjoyed leaving obesity categories too and I'm really looking forward to being "only" overweight. Can't wait!
