Ok has ANYONE lost weight and NOT had sagging skin? I'd like to hear from you.

Ok - I was joking before - but you gotta laugh so you don't cry, right? ;0)

Seriously, I don't think WLS has anything to do with it.  If you lose a lot of weight, any way, your skin will need to (or won't) recover.  Andrea gave some good reasons.

I didn't have a lot of sag with previous weight loss attempts or my surgeries.  Well, some belly sag after my c-section last time, but that's it.  You know why?  Cause I never REALLY got skinny.  I got thinner - but not a "normal" BMI.  And this time, right down to about a 28-29BMI, I didn't really have saggy skin either.  But the last 30-40lbs have DEVASTED my bod.  In clothes I look like I have NO loose skin (cause I wear a good foundation garment).  But naked is another story.

AND I'm very muscular under here, and I exercise regularly.  I am a runner - and yet my thighs look pretty terrible.  My arms have great, big ropey muscles, with sagging, crepe paper skin hanging down below.  I think if you're destined to sag, you'll sag.  Regardless.

That being said - I've seen Wild Angels undies pics, and she looks pretty great.  Lucky girl.

Honestly - what does it matter?  IMHO - I looked fat and gross 100% of the time at a 40+BMI.  Now, at a 24BMI I look FANTASTIC in clothes.  That's 80-90% of the time.  If I look saggy-baggy 10-20% of the time, that still a BIG improvement!  And I FEEL great.  That's what really matters...

Catherine, think of it a bit like a balloon.  The first time you blow it up it shrinks back pretty much to normal, but with each blow up after that the balloon seems to get more distorted from it's original form.  Sounds like you have been blessed with an extra sturdy balloon.  Hoping that you have one more deflat it flat left in you.

And by the number of us posting several are curious if anyone has managed to have their skin bounce back.

Catherine, I've been wondering the same thing thank you for putting it out there.  I am 42 and have never had children.  I lost 102 pounds when I was 30 and had no sagging skin under my arms, stomach or legs.  Acutally my legs were toned and tight.  I am curious as to what this will bring.

I love you guys - you guys are awesome. You're right about who cares about a little sag - cause you can hide it under clothes. that wild chick does look good in undies lol.
