Off to Mexico again
I'm assuming it will be Saturday. He didn't say not to eat on Friday, and just said he'd see me Friday and his driver will pick me up at the airport. So my guess is Saturday, I can't see it being a long one either. He will cut a 4 in*****ision, drain off the amount of fluid, then re-install the drain. I should be back at the hotel by Sunday. That gives me the whole week to sit.. yeah... sit... sigh...
Bonnie
who doesn't think after losing weight one should sit for long...but I will, duct tape if I need it.... sigh...

Hi Bonnie
It's good to know your surgeon is taking care of this in very way. What a ringing endorsement for him. I hope all goes well and you can be back on your feet (as opposed to duct taped to your chair!!!) soon.

Best wishes for a safe journey Bonnie. It sounds like you will be taken care of.
This is my biggest fear with medical tourism (complications). I am not brave enough to attempt surgery out of country again with my history of surgical complications. I had a bowel obstruction after my RNY that was thankfully caught before I left Michigan. Once home I had a serious wound infection that I had taken care of here. My saving grace was that the general surgeon that I was referred to here had already done a couple of surgeries on me. I had my surgeon in Michigan send him a full copy of my records so he knew what was going on with my replumbed organs.

Actually the surgeon here who doesn't want to touch me, is the guy who did my gall bladder and hernia about 6 or 7 years ago. He knows me, but it's the liability issue. I'm so glad for several reasons that I went to Mexico, the work is very good, the price is great, and he looks after his clients. He just doesn't leave you hanging. But I do understand your concerns.
