EW Stinky belly button

Anyone had this problem I just noticed it yesterday it smells gross.Not sure why I was sticking my fingers in my inny probably cause I was thinking lol I am still renovating and hen I am pondering a miter or a design i have a habit of sticking my finger in my belly button (yeah i know how weird is that.) but anyway yesterday it stunk to high heaven even after a shower last night and a bath this morning it still smells what is that all about?

I use a qtip and clean it out after I shower everyday, splash some goldbond body powder and im gravy...It took a few days when I first started but the smell goes away.

ha ha  .. im sry  but  had to laugh  at that  because my  8 year  old  nephew does that  and  has  always  dont that when hes  tired  or  in his  sleep, he mostly  does it  to  him  mom (sister) but  i  dont  know about the  stinky part  maybe try taking a q-tip with  mild  soap the next  bath/shower  you  have ....  if it  dosent  get better  maybe ask ur doc next  appt ....

About every other time that I clean my ears, I clean my belly button. It's just the combination of sweat, dead skin and zero air circulation. I just gently swirl a Q-tip or 2 in there and if I have time blow a cool air dryer on it for a minute. That should take care of the stink.

What is funnier is that I was thinking of posting this myself this week, but decided against it LOL
I have had this problem this week and have been cleaning it like crazy, not sure what's up. Now I do think I have a hernia, it keeps popping out ocaissionally so I wondered if it had anything to do with that.
I didn't go to the doc or anything cause I am having my knee operated on soon and didn't want anything to come up to delay it LOL
Hopefully someone has an answer

 Hi Jan i am having the same problem with my belly button too.i clean it with a q tip and dry it well.i thought i was the only one with a smelly belly button.all the best of luck.i am seeing my doctor on Monday and ask him what it is all about.have a great weekend.

Let me know what the Doc says mine is away at the moment.

It's probably a yeast infection.  See your dr. and have it documented.  Good reason for an eventual panni if it gets red and sore...

The biggest way to solve this - KEEP IT DRY!!  Don't put any creams or anything on it.  Shower and wa**** out REALLY GOOD.  Dry it with a hair dryer.  Use a good powder (like gold bond or vagisil powder) to keep it dry.  Shower and repeat morning and night for a few days.  It will clear up.

Then keep drying your BB with the hair dryer each shower.
