Costco US question

Do I need a separate US membership, or can I use my Cdn one?

holy canoli Beth... if i knew i could use my cdn costco membership in the us i woulda spent a fortune there today! i don't even know where there is one close to us... ??? i got some s/f carnation instant brekkie there today at walmart... and ... also got some awesome WW meals for $1.87 at target!! wooo hoooo....might as well start cutting back now... let me know where the closest one to the niagara border is and i'll check it out in a couple of weeks i'll be back there again!! tks!!

Yes, you can definitely use your Canadian Costco card in the States. Not sure where the nearest one is probably in the Buffalo area.

good to know.. BUT i went onto the costco site and couldn't find anything close to us in NY...not even sure if anything is close in michigan.. but if someone finds one close to us.. ontario.. hamilton to be exact.. pls let me know... don't mind a "road trip".. tks!

There isn't one in Western NY, I've called Costco corporate a few times to request one. They said to keep calling and have my friends call because if there is enough interest they may re-open one there.

You can also use your Cdn membership to order from the US Costco.COM website and if you don't like the item or it's defective you can return it to a CANADIAN store! :0)

There is one in Michigan off of I-75N between 12-14 mile rd on the west side of the hwy near Oakland Mall. You can use your CDN card there and it is way better than the CDN Costco!!

Thanks for the replies. I think there used to be one near Walden Galleria, but I haven't been over the border since the passport regs kicked in.

ETA: I've emailed my friend in Buffalo to find out if/where there is one. Once she lets me know, I'll let you know. (I think that might a Sam's Club I'm thinking of - or at least, it is now.)
