Does anyone use Dr. VegeGreens?

I just bought a tub today.  It was expensive $60.00 for a tub, but it has enough servings to last 60 days, so I guess that's not too bad.  I am almost 4 months out, and I feel like I almost never eat vegetables.  Protein, protein, protein, is all I seem to focus on.  Have any of you tried it?

I've never even heard of it; is it a vegetable substitute?

With nine distinctive blends of green foods and plant extracts, VegeGreens® supplies an extraordinary spectrum of nutrients ranging from the rare trace minerals found in sea vegetables to the health-enhancing compounds exclusive to cruciferous vegetables. The power of VegeGreens® is due not only to the numerous individual nutrients that each blend contains, but also to the synergy between these blends. The collective action of all the nutritionally complex ingredients in VegeGreens® creates a much more potent effect than the sum of its individual components.

It is a powder to add to shakes or just plain water.  It has several servings of vegetables in it.  I would like to say that I eat enough veggies, but at 4 months out, I find that by the time I eat my protein, that I am completely full, so I am not getting in my veggies at all.  I am hoping this help

I had a friend who swore by greens her first year out. I have never done them.

I was going to try them recently and bought some..but I cannot stomach them.

Hey Debbie,

I have yet to try it in just plain water, I have been making it in a smoothie- not too bad.  I think it will be my standard breakfast from now on.  Posted the recipe below in response to Barb.

Are you able to hide the taste in anything?

I have had it the last 2 days in a smoothie as follows:

175 grams greek yogurt
1 cup skim milk
1 scoop Vegegreens
1 cup mixed fruit (right now- frozen blueberries and strawberries)
Splenda or sweetener of choice to taste

****Protein = 29 grams just from the milk and the yogurt***

After I mix it all up, it don't taste it very much at all.  Occasionally I take a sip and I notice a really yucky bitter taste, but I just put it back on the bullet and mix a bit more.  Also, I bought the "blueberry" flavour of vegegreens, and not the original.  I think that helps a tiny bit

When I was doing protein shakes last year I used to add the blueberry veggiegreens.  Didn't have much trouble with it but it smells like...ewwww.  Was going to add it to my shakes after surgery just to get my veggies in.  I also used to add flax seed oil to my shakes as well.
