First, congrats on losing 13 lbs!  Amazing!!

Althought I haven't yet had my surgery, I can tell you from reading other posts ... GET OFF THE SCALE!!  Everyone's weight fluctuates, even those who've had surgery.  Water weight, your body screaming "I'm not letting you and you can't make me!!", or any number of reasons.  Just put the scale in the closet and go do something that will take your mind off of it.

In a 24 hour period we can all go up or down a few pounds depending on the time of day.  Most of us will be heavier after eating or drinking, or even if we need to have a BM.  One pound up is nothing to be concerned about.  It is most likely water that will disappear in no time.

You seriously need to get off the scale and give yourself a bit of a rest from it. Maybe weigh yourself once a week at the most, but not everyday.  Be a little more gentle with yourself, you are doing great!

Around the same time, I had a week where I only lost 0.3 lbs. I just chalked it up to my body adjusting and tried not to think about it too much.

The next week, I lost 10 lbs.

Just keep doing what you're supposed to be doing and your body will work itself out.

I'm so worried that I'm one of the people that this surgery doesn't work. It's comforting to hear I'm not the only one stuck.

i know the feeling. I've been in a stall for about 10 days now. I put my scale away, it was playing games with my head, for sure.

The best thing you can do is throw the scale away. Wait to you go to the clinic to get weigh and then you will be surprise and happy on how much you have lost.  Plus remember you may not show weight loss sometimes but if you measure yourself you find  out that your measurements are smaller.  Believe in the surgery it does work and remember that it is only a tool. You must work with this tool to lose the weight. Exercise eat right  measure food and drink water and the tool will work.  Good luck you can do it

I think most of us worry that we will be the ONE person the surgery doesn't work for.  Trust me, if you follow your surgeon's and your NUT's program you can't help but be successful.  The little bumps and stalls along the way happen to us all.  You will be GREAT at this!
