Good Post . I think most of us can relate. I don't want to buy something just because it fits and it's "o.k" and it hides my fat rolls etc.....I want to wear nicer more stylish clothes!!!!!!!!

Oh I can soooo relate to you saying " There was no joy in wearing something new because nine-times-out-of -ten it wasn't something you liked, it was something you settled for because it fit."

Can't wait to shop for what I WANT!!!! :-)

Great post!

I have often left Pennington's (Antel's, Addition-Elle) empty-handed because there wasn't a single think I liked.  (My mom has recently lost 50 lbs. so she's handing her 'too big' clothes to me.  Now, I'm wearing 'old lady clothes'!  LOL!!)

I have a friend who works at Pennington's.  I told her about the surgery and told her that one day, I'll come in when she's there, get her to help me find clothes, and cry when she hands me a size that doesn't have a "2" in it.  Then I'll promptly head to the mall and shop there!

yep, now I shop for clothes that fit, rather than conceal.  it's not just the size that has changed, but the style - I'm buying fitted jackets, skinny jeans, etc.  I'm probably dressing 10-20 years younger than I was.  not that I wanted to look matronly - that was just what fit at the time.

nothing ever felt so good as walking out of a store with size 12 & 14 clothes.
