WHAT!?

Where are you seeing this Sandy? Im sure we have the same literature. Im not seeing 'unlimited' anywhere. I have so much paperwork collected from HRRH over the months...I dont even know where to start looking.

Here is a scan of what I have. Is your sheet different?

I have had a couple low sodium dill pickles, they are only 3 calories each and very low in everything, just for something different. I got this from another poster. DO NOT OVER DO IT though only a couple. Take care

I had up to four cups (1 litre) of broth a day while on Optifast. I put hotsauce in mine and that seemed to help curb some of the hunger. I also kept all my veggies until dinner time rather than spreading them out. Maybe water down your Opticrap-I mean Optifast a bit more. You may get more mileage out of it. Sometimes water can make you feel hungrier. If you are drinking a lot maybe try a bit less for part of the day and see if that helps. Herbal tea also settled some of my nightime hunger.

Just a couple of thoughts. I am sure you will do fine. Keep up the great work.

FOUR CUPS A DAY!

Thats fantastic! I picked up a few cartons of the Blue Menu chicken broth from Loblaws and im only sipping it. If I can get away with a few cups a day ill be laughing!

Im a HUGE eater and have been all my life. Going from 40 years of pigging out to virtually nothing is sooo hard! To me this is harder than it was quitting smoking and I was a smoker for almost 30 years.

Being able to sip on broth all day will definately make thing easier for me. You just made my night Kristie :)

Blue Menu is a good choice. There are some that have a lot of sodium and are higher in calories. I stuck to the Blue Menu or similar brands and everything was fine on operating day. One no-name type (Metro maybe?) had vegetable broth. It was nice for a change too.

Glad I could help.

Are you allowed 3 or 4 shakes per day along with the veggies and broth?  When I did Optifast we were allowed 4 shakes, no veggies or broth but allowed all the crystal light we wanted.  I think eating the veggies would make it worse for me.  Our clinic now allows the veggies and many people end up giving them up because chewing them makes them want more food.  You are now on day 5 and ketosis should be kicking in so the hunger will settle.  When you think you are hungry, drink more.  You could add lemon or lime to your water if you get tired of the sweetness of crystal light or have a tea or coffee as long as it has no sugar or milk in it.

 word of warning shawn

with the crystal light BE CAREFUL!!

i was in the same boat as you (optifast for 6 weeks here) and i actually forced myself out of keytosis by drinking so much crystal light.

maybe youll be different but id thought id throw that out there for you.

Thanks Ladies!

I will definately call Humber and speak to one of the nutritionists to see exactly what is allowed and what is not. Im drinking a lot of Crystal Light in a day and I certainly dont want to mess things up due to a lack of education.

I will post my findings here once I speak to them :)

EDIT: Called and left message. Hopefully they are available today. Forgot its Easter Monday today :(
