Get used to it, Joanne - that was mild, trust me!
Should something untoward happen while you're in hospital, you'll be much more "hooked up" and surrounded by lights and noise.
Empathy from all of us who've done the test, but - it was done to save your life potentially, you know?

I hear you. When I was first hooked up I thought I was o.k. but I sleep on my stomach and turning was hard. I couldn't sleep and was quite frustrated. When all the wires came off the first thing I said was something to the effect of going home and getting some sleep also. Hey- it's over!

I hear you!  The first time I had a sleep test done, it was after 3am before I really even got close to sleeping and they only got about 1.5 hrs of solid sleep to look at.  The next time (I didn't sleep long enough to show them proper results)  was better tho'  and the last time, it was a piece of cake.  I guess practice does make perfect.

Hey Mo,

My friends father went for a sleep apnea test last week. The tech woke him up at 3am and told him they had enough info, he could go home. I personally thought that was kind of crazy. He got the results yesterday and he stops breathing 85 times per hour...................
I think they should have let him stay til 6 like they do for most people
