You don't often hear this........

But I need some suggestions.  Have been on Seroquel for quite a few months and do NOT like what it's done to me (phisically). I truly need some suggestions.  I am eating right, taking my vits..... so frustrating it almost makes me want to cry at this point. 

Hi karen is that meds for depression? if so i had it before and i didnt last long on it i didnt like it so they change it..wasnt working for me.tell doctor to have it change.

Depression yes.  Someone just called me a ***** on FB.  Wow.

 I was put on seroquil and turned out I'm allergic to it so I was switched to trazadone its an older medication but its working for me along with temazapam for sleep

Sorry, and it causes weight gain or no?

Unfortunately, yes, according to my husband's dr. He was put on it, and that is one of the first things the dr. mentioned to him (my husband was happy as he WANTS to gain weight...uggh!). After taking his first dose, he was semi-conscious on the couch stating repeatedly "Im hungry!". He didn't remember this the next day! LOL He's been on it for about a month now, and I have seen some improvement in his high anxiety, which is a good thing as it improves my anxiety level when he controls his, thus I overeat less. That being said, he just can't stop snacking sometimes. I sit in awe watching him. He says he doesn't know why he is eating sometimes, but he always feels hungry after supper until he goes to bed. Sometimes he goes to bed, then ten minutes later he gets up to have a snack because the hunger won't let him sleep.

Good luck Karen. It's not a med for everyone. Are you taking it with something else? (kind of not my business I guess) I'm just asking because it is not usually prescribed as a stand alone treatment, but as a boost for other ones.

Yikes!  Good gawd, that would be my biggest fear.  I never feel hungry - and I don't wanna!

Hi Karen,

 I don't have any suggestions for you I just wanted to tell you I am sorry you are having a rough time and if you need anyone to talk to I am always available. Screw whoever called you a ***** I will kick their ass if you want me too lol just say the word. Although I am sure there would be a line up of people who would kick someones ass who was trying to mess with you. Take care and I hope you find a medication that will work better for you.
