Day 3 on Optifast.........VENTING IN RAGE
Well today is day three on Optifast. For some reason I am more hungry then I ever was. THis morning I was fine and yesterday was a great day. I was sure that the hunger subsided somewhat. NOPE today its in full force. Having tyroid that is on the whack right now does not help. I am losing my mind and worried I might just lose it and eat food. Can only have tea or coffee and the optifast. Honestly I don't mind the optifast it is very good in taste. I JUST NEED SOME KIND OF FOOD INTAKE. haha sorry just needed to get that out. Again sorry OH friends for this crazy vent. I know it will get better and I keep tellign myself that.
It usually takes a couple of days to adjust, so don't give in!!! Hang in there, you'll make it through and be so proud of yourself that you did.
And vent as much as you want
That is what we are here for!!

you shouldn't be sorry, that why we are all here, to help each other.
I'm only starting OF mid-aug but thought that chicken broth would help with the cravings...on a "normal" day I always felt it made me feel full so thinking it might help, I already have some on standby...lmao
Good luck!
Hang in there!

drink til you swear you can hear waves crashing in your tummy....
switch between hot and cold beverages, make a slushy out of some crystal lite... vary it up.
When i really got the munchies I found hot fat free chicken broth did the trick - i think i was craving the salt.
Sometimes the best support you can get isn't all purple puddles and pink rainbows.
Thanks all for the encouraging words. I know I can do this. The thing is I was told that I cannot have anything other then the optifast tea or coffee. I guess teh Crystal light won't hurt since its light in sugar and will go through me. I am going to call and ask first incase. I don't want to cause any complications when it comes to surgery time.
I'm on day three also, Betty Jo.....And I find that when I make my optifast with lots of ice, and I mean lots of ice, it made it thicker and it helps with the hunger....As for chicken broth I might have some later on during my three weeks but right now I don't have a craving for it....
So as frustrating as it is, look at the big picture......

Try some broth, some SF jello. I just had onion soup from M&M's and strained it. It really was good and you can convince yourself it's dinner! Hang in there.
