Great journey!
I have had an AMAZING journey!
I have met really great people along my way that have given me awesome advice and words of encouragement. I would never turn the clock back for one second.
Someone found out yesterday at my work, that I had RNY, and she said to me "Why? I would never do that! I have lost 80lbs on my own." I told her that I had tried for yeeears and could not do it any longer- you know.. the down 20, gain 30+lbs phases... I explained to her (she is also a nurse) all my reasons for having the surgery and after listening to me, she seemed to change her tune and appeared to be really impressed.. not that I really care what she or anyone really thinks anyways but I find some people are just ignorant and need to be put in their place. (LOL)
I realized yesterday that I have lost a total of 119lbs!! I just can't believe it. I never thought in a million years that I would weigh what I do today and be really healthy! My bf just found out a little bit ago exactly what I weigh, his words to me were "You really need to stop losing weight! Try to eat more or eat more carbs!" Believe me, I am really trying. I think in the next couple of months my body will stop losing. I am 6/7 weeks shy of my one year surgiversary.
My doctor did some bloodwork the other day and I called for my results. Everything is GREAT! The only thing she noted was that my iron is one point lower then when my labs were done in March and she is not concerned with that as my iron is still in normal range. Everything else is also in normal range
My doctor has told me that she wants me to tweek my vitamins a little bit. She thinks that I am getting too much calcium and not quite enough magesium. So I lowered my calcium intake as I am getting alot in the foods/ beverages I consume. I never took that into consideration before and couldn't figure out why I was always having an issue (with going to the washroom). I noticed a HUGE difference within 2days of lowering my calcium. YAY! All in all, my dr is happy with my progress.
I am doing soooo much more these days... LIFE IS AWESOME!
