WOW!!! My first jog with the Running Room 5k Clinic!
Yippee! I did it. Hubby and I went and signed up for the 5k clinic that started this morning. I am glad to say that I was actually (can't believe it), near the front of the pack. It felt so wonderful. I think I like running because it is so far out from where I was 8 months ago and never imagined that I would be able to do this. I can't wait to sign up for the 10k clinic
.

That's great. I have been a member of the running room for many years. I was ontarios #2 for long distance cross country trekker in the mid 80's before I got really sick. I used to love running. Because of my illness I gained over 150lbs in a few weeks. I have tried many times to do 10k runs and finally did my one complete on 7 years ago. I nearly died afterwards, spent several days in hospital and was told no more. After my surgery I hope to get back into running and martial arts. Keep up the good work.
Way to go Marny! You're making me think I need to sign up for a 10K clinic now! lol

I know how that feels.
I did my first MAJOR bike ride (Hamilton to Toronto - about 75 km on the bike) this weekend, met my hubby there, did some shopping then rode back on the train to Aldershot station, where I rode my bike back home to East Hamilton...
This time last year if someone had told me that I'd be doing this, I would have told them where to go in NO uncertain terms!
