Help- Dry mouth all day long. Driving me nuts!!!
Hi all,
For the last 2 or 3 weeks, I have been having "dry mouth" ALL day long. Curiously it is not at night. I wake up with not a ton of moisture in there, but as the day progresses it actually gets worse. I tried an OH search, but every thread I read commented about it being at night only. Anyone else have this chronically in the daytime, and know what the heck is causing it?? I am drinking my 2L or very, very, near to it, each and everyday.

The only time I had this was before I was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea and it was at night because I was mouth breathing. This is not at night though. It didn't have it during Opti. As far as ketosis, maybe I am not understanding it correctly, aren't you in ketosis whenever you are actively loosing weight? Actually, I haven't been loosing weight over the last 2 weeks at all, even though I am running 3-4 times a week, and seeing my trainer 2 times a week. Go figure. I take clonazepam for anxiety disorder, but it is a really low dose and I've been taking it for over a year without having this reaction. Hmmm.....puzzled.
Hey Marny
I work in Mental Health and I swear, almost all the psych meds cause dry mouth. There are few things that we tell our patients - suck on diabetic/NSA candies - which probably isn't a good idea right now.
But, there are tons of new products out, and I have found them in shoppers and walmart specifically for dry mouth. Some come in rinses, and I think there is a pill one. Not a bad price also.
Our patients have found that drinking more fluids adds to the problem ... but I don't know why.
Good luck!

Some meds I have to take cause dry mouth for me. I've started using a product called Biotine when it gets unbearabe. You can get it in the pharmacy - it comes in a gel, spray and a toothpaste I think.

I misspelled it - Biotene. Similar to biotin, yes. In spelling, that is. Not in purpose. lol
