For the Women: Did your "cycle" change after WLS?
I am getting a tad frustrated lately as "Aunt Flo" just won't leave me the heck alone. My cycle keeps getting shorter and shorter. I am now at 15 days between cycles, and highly annoyed. Each period seems to last 6-7 days. I was 31 days like clockwork, all my life. Has anyone else experienced such drastic change? I am going to mention it to my Dr. on Thurs, but jeeesh...go away already! :D
heck yes... I got a cycle! Or at least a semblance of one. I have been amenorrheic for near a decade since I came off BCP due to my PCOS. In the last three months, my period has returned, been heavy and crampy and... uck.
As you lose weight your fats stores release estrogen, more estrogen can mess up your cycle for a while. Not anything to worry about, but annoying as hell. It should calm down as you get closer to goal and the weight loss slows/stops.

TOTALLY F'd UP! I have been to see my doctor a few times because I can't control Aunt Flo. I am on the birth control patch and it doesn't seem to matter...ole Aunt Flo barges in any old flippin time! She thinks it will calm down..our bodies have just been through a lot. In the meantime....I'm goin' nuts! LMAO!!
