At what point should I go to the hospital for dehydration?
So It's just over two weeks post-op. And I'm exhausted/weak pretty much all the time, i figured that would happen with the lack of nutrients I'm getting anyway. But also my pee is pretty much the colour of of tea. I've been trying to get atleast 1000 mls in me every day. but its not always that much. Always more than 500 but barely ever more than a 1000. It's not for lack of trying but most of the time... I just can't. I was going to do my best to get atleast 1250 mls in today and if I couldn't reach that goal go to the hospital for an IV but also I'm just back in ottawa for school. So, I've never been to the hospital here and I don't know where it is, where the emergency is, and it seems like a big hassle. So if i can avoid it I really would like to. But right now I dont really trust myself going to walk around the grocery store thats how weak I am feeling... Anyone been to the hospital for dehydration? what did you do/say? and at what point were you like... thats enough i gotta go? :D thanksss
If your urine is the colour of tea, you need to seriously consider going to the ER for some IV fluids. It is dangerous to become dehydrated. Find the hospital, call a cab, and go, in my opinion.
Tell them you had weight loss surgery two weeks ago and that you think you are dehydrated and are feeling very badly. Sometimes, as unpleasant as it is, you can't avoid going.
