After 3 days of Optifast I checked my ketons level. I'm not burning at all. I'm frustrated. I'm afraid I'm gonna fail the surgery cause my metabolism is f...ed up.

It can take some people up to a week to enter ketosis.  Put the sticks way, keep doing what you are supposed to do and relax.  Some people never enter ketosis on Opti but their liver still shrinks for the surgery.

Take a DEEP breath, I know it's hard to hand over control regarding certain things but IF you follow the plan you will be fine.
I worry over ever little thing and it drives my family and friends crazy, but I relize that sometimes you just have to BREATH and you will be fine. Wishing you the all the best !!!

Tracy is right ....RELAX - let it work - follow the directions and you will be fine - and after your surgery - dont live on the scale either - it makes you feel the same way

Thank you very much for the support. I'm so scared.

It's OK to be scared.  But if you are following the plan, then you are doing everything right.  When you've had your surgery, you'll look back and wonder what you were scared about.

Good luckwith the Optifast, and don't worry about the ketosis.

Like the others said just breath and try to relax. You probably just have a slow metabolism. Also like the others said so long as you are following the plan you will do fine. Watch a movie, go for a walk, go a craft, do whatever helps you to relax.

Sometimes you just put one foot in front of the other, even if you don't know where you're going.

It takes a lot of time. Keep your calories to under 30 a day.

Before the surgery I kept putting things off. I was never good enough. One of the benefits of WLS is that you start to believe in yourself. Check out my blog:

Optifast is 30% carbs and 30% fat - I don't know how ppl get to ketosis with it. It contains 16.8 g of carbs per serving X 4 = 67.2 carbs daily.
