Timeline please?

Fairly new to the forum. Could I please get an idea of how long people are waiting...
I was referred September 2010 @TWH. Just completed all appts except the surgeon appointment.
Can anyone give me an idea of when I can expect to get my surgeon appointment? I can't think of anything else. My life is on hold...work keeps asking me.. I am so ready and so impatient right now. If I had an idea of when maybe I would just relax....I am hooked to this forum and enjoy reading everyone's comments. Thank God I have all of you....thanks in advance. Hi. I just got referred to HRRH Aug 2011 so I am new to the process. I can however relate to the impatience! Now that I've researched it all and made my decision, it's all I think about! I am ready for the surgery and challenge of changing my eating. I'm grateful for this forum otherwise I would go insane! Lol!
referral: aug 2011; general orientation: Sept 26, 2011; surgeon appt: Oct 5, 2011;
GB Class: Oct 18, 2011; SW & RN: Oct 20, 2011; Dietitian: Nov 14, 2011;
Dietitian: Jan 9, 2012; Surgeon appt: Feb 2, 2012; Optifast start: Mar 6, 2012
Surgery Date: Mar 27, 2012
I was referred in May 2010. All of my appointments went really quick but make sure you call your surgeons office to get your final appointment! I made the mistake and waited 2 weeks before I found out I was supposed to call the surgeons office to make an appointment. I had my last appt on sept 26th and will be going for surgery on october 14th. It's worth waiting for

i can certainly relate to how you are feeling although my process didnt take quite that long as i went through HRRH. i have no experience in dealing with TWH but it seems like it is a longer process with them regardless, maybe i am wrong.
however, from the day my family doctor sent my referral (so approximately april 10, 2011) to my surgery date (october 20th, 2011), as you can see my process didnt take as long as i have read on some other people's blogs. i guess it just depends on everyones situation but if i were you id keep calling and finding out what you need to do next and be persistant because i know with my surgeons office and bariatric clinic at HRRH things can get very busy. just a little advise :) good luck with the rest of your journey! hopefully you can get a date soon!!

Referral was sent in April of 2011 and my Surgery is scheduled for Oct 20 of 2011 :D
After all your appointments are done they do a file review on Thursday. So if you saw the Psychologist on a Monday they review your file on Thursday then you will get the call for the surgeon. I got my call the week after.
If a can give you a tip when they call with the date ask them for a date with the TWH surgeons. They seem to have the shortest wait list of the 3. My appointment was the 16th and I am having surgery October 11th.
At your surgeon appointment they will review the surgery with you, discuss risk. You will sign your consents and sign for your Optifast.It gets delivered to your home.
The NP will weigh you and check out your BMI. If you get TWH Doc then you will get your surgery date before you leave.
If you get one of the other docs their office will call you eventually with your surgery date.
