I shrunk?

I met with Dr. Yelle 2 weeks ago and he said I was 5'6", I was surprised because I have always been closer to 5'7" so you can imagine my shock when at pre-op yesterday they told me I am 5'5"-wtf  at this rate I'll be a pancake!

Seriously though I think I'll have them redo on surgery day because it is important to have the accurate number of height-weight before they put you under.  

My scale says I am down 14lbs theirs says 10...I like mine better but it's theirs that counts. 

Day 12 of optifast and it is downhill from here....about 36 shakes left to go!

I shrunk.  It's age.  I lost an inch and a quarter so far.  At this rate, I'll have to lose weight again to keep my normal BMI.  hahaha

time of day can affect your height too, but i dont know if it can go that far. As the day goes on, yoru spine compresses or something.

And my sister says i look taller now, since i've lost an entire supermodel (or two). I should remeasure my height.

Perhaps.  I'm not sayin' for sure.

My entire, life since I stopped growing that is I have been 5'7" so you can imagine my shock when the rude bone density scan lady said I was 5'6" (shes rude because she insulted me regarding my weight).

 The same thing happened to me. They have be beginning 5lbs lighter than my starting weight was. Their records show me starting at 265 as my heaviest weight but I was in fact 270. I stopped caring though because I know what the numbers were at that time I started losing weight and that's all that matters to me at this point.

Since your scale is the one you are going to use on a regular basis I would just continue on this route. You have your number and they have theirs. Losing a pound regardless of what the number says is still a pound.

Folks you are the best, always good for a chuckle.  I am pleased with my progress and hope that when my bootie shelf is gone I'll stand taller LOL. 

Getting pretty excited now. 

As the day progresses yes the water in the discs of your spine compress and you can lose an inch of height. I was told this by a kinesiologist at McMaster University. You are at your tallest first thing in the morning.
