luckily I am not a huge sweets person..actually I just finished a box of hot tamales that I bought in June 2010
I have a double Skor bar sititng on my kitchen counter for 2 months in anticipation of baking a dessert I have a recipie for...haven't done it yet the chocolat bar is still intact.
That being said...I have noted on this board previously that when I do have a sweets craving that I allow myself 2-4 chocolate covered almonds...that bag is kept in the fridge...not in plain view...and I have those from time to time, but not as often as I have in the past.
I don't buy Halloween treats except a small box to put in my DH/DS's lunches (44) mini bars..that will be the end of it. I live in a rural area and the last 3 years we haven't had a single kid drop in...so no point~!
I do like the occasional pckg of nibs or twizzlers...and that's about it...oh I LIE,.....I like SF Jelly Belly's as well...LOL.

I bought mini playdoh at Costco to hand out for Halloween. That plus the little boxes of raisons that my grandchildren like. I don't dare buy chocolate. Somehow I talk myself into believing it doesn't matter on halloween (or any other holiday) but it will get me started on the down road.
