My husband and I are sitting here trying to figure out what Oatmeal I shoudl be eating on the full fluids stage. I went and bought the reduced sugar maple and brown sugar one and the weight controlled Appl and Cinnimon. Are these ok or should I be having just the plain oatmeal??

I would have plain oatmeal, the packaged tend to have too much sugar (even the reduced sugar kind).

You should try to stay away from prepackaged foods, as much as possible. There is a lot of sodium in them, for one thing.

The plain kind that you buy in a big bag has one ingredient. Oats.

It is really very easy to make, you can make it in the microwave (directions are on the bag). I made mine with milk, to add protein, and added agave syrup, sweetener  or double fruit jam to sweeten it.

Watch the sugar intake. I saw those and opted for just plain and add Unsweeted apple sauce.

You can get a whole bag of oatmeal that lasts forever for the same price of a box that lasts a few days. Better fiber in whole oats too.

It's called Splenda brown sugar blend.  It comes in a yellow bag.

The instant stuff is too processed.  Use the good ole kind and cook enough for a week and then just warm up as neeeded.

I do use the plain instant oatmeal but I make it with milk instead of water and add a tsp of Splenda brown sugar. It has 10 grams of protein that way.
