http://www.littlestomaks.com/2010/02/why-you-should-care-abo ut-vitamin-a-overdose/

there's an article about Vitamin A Toxicity. Vitamin A is one of the fat soluble vitamins (A,D,E and K), so your body does store it, and you can therefore overdose on it. The article i linked to says that you're best to get Vit A from things like vegetables and fruit, and not to rely on supplements if you can. Too much Vitamin A can increase the risk of osteoporosis.

It's not that you're too new, there's just a lot of stuff to learn, and it IS confusing.

The 769% of daily reccomended sounds a little high to me, I got the following information on a google search.

The current recommended daily allowance for Vitamin A is 5000 international units (IU).

With their bright orange color sweet potatoes are packed with vitamin A. Sweet potatoes provide 19218IU (384% RDA) of vitamin A per 100 gram serving, or 38436IU (769% RDA) in a cup of mashed sweet potato, and 21909IU (438% RDA) in a medium sized sweet potato.

it is really good for you. If you're at risk for osteoprosis (a bad bone scan, family history, not taking calcium) then you should probably stay away from them.

The nutrition info i found says its about 2 - 300% of your RDA., not 769% like the myfitness pal info said. I'd question that amount.

You won't overdose on eating a sweet potato a day. You might, if you're taking an oral supplement, some cod liver oil, and eating a bunch of them a day.Moderation is the key to everything. You'll likely turn orange before you overdose on it.
