Dr. Reed Patients
I had Dr Reed for my surgery Sept 1/11. As the others have said he is not all warm and fuzzy but he has an excellent reputation. He is top in this field and have read that he trained a number of other doctors. Seems he does the riskier surgeries.
Like others I did not go home with meds as I didn't need any. I imagine if you still had pain they would give you meds.
Dr Reed told me one of the reasons he uses staples is he wants to make sure you go see your family doctor 7-10 days after surgery for removal so they can check you over and check your legs for clots. I was hesitant about the staples but they hurt way less then stitches to have removed. I didn't even feel it and think they will scar less too.
