'Tis my one year surgiversary today!
As I walked into Mississauga "Cawfee" last night, the group was quick to wish me a "Happy Surgiversary!" To which I uttered "Is it the 9th tomorrow??!!" I had almost completely forgot and missed this very important day upon which to reflect--- to really take time to look back and process exactly what has gone on this year. It has been quite the eventful year. Unfortunately, as I am stuck at work today, I will be consumed with my students and all of their needs. Needless to say, I won't be posting anything significant today...but that's okay, because really, I need time to think about this. I love to journal and write about my experiences, so I really do feel the need to look back and write about what all this has meant to me. It is important to process you're emotions, I have learned, otherwise you might eat yourself silly rather than dealing with them. :) So...process I will, and will post something another day. HOWEVER, I did want to say thanks to all those *****membered my surgiversary for me and took the time to call it to my attention. xoxo

And Marny sweetie, I think I speak for everyone when I say
YOU LOOK LIKE A MILLION BUCKS.
No really. I know you get embarassed easily, but you are just going to have to bear with it for a moment.
You are glowing, you are happy and confident, your body is AT LEAST half the size it was, and your height is now such an advantage - you really do look amazing.
Congratulations - you have put much more work (a propos exercising) into this than I have, and it shows.
Besides the mental and spiritual benefits which I am sure your pondering will help you realize, the health effects of this change are quite obvious to anyone who sees you.

Thanks Gaby, though I think you are far too gernerous in your estimation of me. I do feel like a million bucks, and we all know that if you feel that way on the inside, it is bound to show.
Congrats on your own astounding journey. I can't believe you are at goal already! Such an amazing achievement.

Congrats, Marny!
You've done so well. Nearly to goal, too! Thanks for being an inspiration to everyone.
