Anyone from the Kawartha Lakes Area?

Hey!  I was wondering if anyone on here was from this area?  There is one person I see all the time and I believe that she has had WLS but I have no idea how to approach her.  So I was hoping there might be others in the area on here!

If you're not from the area and have a suggestion on how I could approach this woman, I would love suggestions!

I was born and raised in Kawartha Lakes..I live in Toronto now, but just thought I would say Hi to a fellow laker..lol..As for aproaching the lady..maybe indirectly talk to her about her weightloss..ask if she has any tips..maybe she will open up and tell you.. or you could even tell her that your going through for the surgery and ask if she knows anyone who had it..Or you could completly ignore the *****footing around..lol.. and just be direct.. I guess it depends on your relationship with her, to see how direct you can be.

I was in Lindsay for years but now live in Oshawa, closer to work for hubby.

I have a big mouth and talk to any and everyone so I would just probably bring up the topic of wanting surgery and ask her how she has been so successful.

P.S. Your appointments are moving right along quickly, you will be having surgery soon, woo hoo.

 Hi Sunny!!! I live in Trenton, and I know there is an AWESOME Peterborough support group that meets every Tuesday night in the Food Court at the mall on Landsdown. (I think thats the name lol)

There are many on this forum from that area, so I'm sure someone will pop up to give you more info.

As far as how to approach that woman, I would start off by complimenting her on her visual weight loss and ask her how she did it.!   That will open the conversation up and you can proceed from there.  We all lovvvvve to hear positive feedback

Yes do come meet up with some fellow WLS'ers for friendship , fun and lots of info and support at one of our weekly support group meetings at the pTBO Landsowne Mall food court . 6pm-9pm  every Tuesday night .We are always at the long tables on the far left ..cant miss us . Everyone is welcome ..bring a friend or family member ..come out and get to know us..best thing you could do for yourself .
