Spring/summer clothes...keep them or give them away?

I'm moving in a week and having wls on Jan.18th.  Should I pack up and move my spring/summer clothes or should I just give them away because I'll be a smaller size and they won't fit anyways?
I don't know if its wishful thinking to assume that they will be too big...or just realistic given how the RNY works?
Advice from vets, please and thank you!

Really Dawn!  Wow, I can barely believe it!  I know that this is how RNY is suppossed to work, but I can't really wrap my mind around it happening to me!  This is really exciting...I'm donating the fat spring/summer clothes to charity then.  So cool!

If you go on my webpage, there is a chart called "realistic expectations -- which is what you'll lose if you are a normal-slow loser. Some lose faster.

I'm only two weeks post op and between pre- and post-op weight loss I have already outgrown my summer clothes. Discarded anything junky and set aside anything decent in case someone else can use them. It's a cathartic activity.

I agree - dont even bother packing them. You'll be WAY smaller this summer! I've dropped about 4 sizes in 4.5 months.

Hi

I started opti at 310 Nov. 21. I had surgery on Dec 7 and I was 297. I weighed myself on the 27th at 280.  That is 30 pounds in a month and a bit.  I am going today to get a gym membership, so I hope to go down even more... personally I am shocked.  It's weird though. I've lost it in my face, butt, thighs and my hips/stomach.... everything is loose. and I'm definitely ready for a 3x  (I was 4x ) and a tight 2x.

So... If you have clothes for 2 or 3 months after your surgery, I highly doubt they will fit.

I think that you should pack them.... into something you don't mind giving away.  Sally Ann can use them a lot more than you can next summer.  Or whatever clothing bank is near you.

Cathy

P.S. Good luck with the move!

Give 'em away.  They won't fit you for sure.

Give them away I had surgery in May and the summer clothes I wore in Aug/Sept. did not even come close to fitting when we went to Mexico 3 weeks ago. You are so gonna want new clothes anyway who wants to wear old baggy things?
