Hi Kristen, Welcome to the forum! I don't post much but wanted to reply because I also had Dr. Aarts at TEGH. My surgery was November 1st and everything went smooth. She has a great team working with her and TEG nursing staff was also very good. Good luck on your journey. I'm from North Bay and they recommended I stay for a few days in Toronto in case of complications so that is what we did.

Referral - Sept.23.2010, Orientation - June 8.2010, Nurse&S.W. - July 28.2011, Nutrition Class - Aug.2.2011, Nutritionist - Sept.13.2011, Psych - Sept.15.2011, Surgeon - Oct.21.2011, Surgery - November 1, 2011.

Thank you for sharing Monique. I am glad to hear you also had a good experience with Dr. Arts and the TEGH team. At my last appointment, Dr. Arts suggested we stay in Toronto until Sat or Sun. I hope to leave on Sat though!

It is the postop weight loss bench! Meaning you have had your surgery

Hi Cindy!
I actually grew up in Elliot Lake, lived there until I was 19. Have you lived there long? It is a nice quiet town- very quiet since the mines closed. My husband and I are both from there and although we have no family left we go bac****asionally.
I will be trying to transfer to Sudbury after and hope support groups are set up- perhaps I will see you there!
