question about meeting surgeon first...

I have a friend that is meeting her surgeon on monday for the first time and she has some appts set up already for the next couple of months.

What happens at this appt?
I ask because I didn't meet my surgeon first.

Not familiar with Humbers policy, like you, I went through TWH and the surgeon was the last person we met.  I am sure someone will pipe up though.

I met with him on Feb 8th and honestly, not much happened.  He reveiwed my chart and talked to me about the risks of doing it vs not doing it. I had questions about his personal success rate and he said no one had died on his watch for over 2 years (made a little joke to his intern about posting that somewhere - like a worksafe thing where they post X days with no accidents.  ha ha..)  That really reassured me as I was pretty preoccupied with dying on the table.  He agreed that I could focus on living and not worry so much about dying :) 
He asked if I was ready to go ahead and I signed the papers.  At that time, since I had had all other appts other than Dr. Glazer's, he would have approved for surgery but the dietician wanted me back in 6 weeks.  I don't think I need to see Dr.  Klein again prior to surgery since I already signed the papers.   
Tell her to make sure she writes down any questions she has prior to the meeting.  You always forget things although he said if I remembered anything that I wanted to ask him, to just call. 

I just took my friend to Humber to meet surgeon two days ago and he just went over her history and advised her that once she has seen internest and finishes her appointments she will go back to him to sign paperwork and get surgery date
