It is very frustrating to buy bras and I really have to be in the mood because it gets depressing and tiring after awhile.  I have purchased some from Victoria's Secret which I really liked, and some that I didn't like at all once I got them home.  I've also purchased some at Walmart which were cheap but actually my favourites right now.  There is no secret other than to just try them on and see how they fit.

My boobs are saggy and so the push up type don't work for me. I look for "full coverage" as opposed to "demi" so that my boobs don't spill out the top of the cup.  I still have loose skin under my arms and over my bra strap.  But I just keep trying them on until I find one that looks good under a tshirt.

I've been measured by a professional, but I know my measurements and size that I need and not all bras in that same size fit the same way.  So it isn't as easy as knowing your size.

Also, once I find one that I really like, I will buy several of them in different colours.  But I still always try them on because I have had bras which were supposed to be identical but the black one fit well and the pink one was a little tight.  Even try on another one in the same size because sometimes just they way it is stitched makes a difference.

I have to be in the mood to shop and then have enough time to try things on again and again and again without feeling rushed.  I always wear a tshirt to the store so I can see how the bra looks under my tshirt.  And I do it rarely because it isn't something I can bring myself to do more than a couple of times a year!  LOL

I find I need a formed bra, with gel in the lower part to give me volume. Also, good wide side pieces to keep all the side skin in.

I recently went for a "professional" bra fitting @ Sears...the woman (NOT teenager) was incredible and showed me what I should be looking for in a bra.  She had actually taken a course on bra fitting through the store.

I actually allowed her in the change room (something I have NEVER done before) once I had each bra on and she educated me on what I should be looking for in a bra once it was on.

You might want to try sears.....I found that 1 hour with this woman was VERY beneficial.

I have reached my goal weight ..... and LOVE my RNY !!!!!!!!!

I agree the Sears ladies can be excellent and they have lots of sales. Wearing the right bar can make you look ten pounds thinner. Really!

I have given up on La Senza as my cup runneth over. I wish I could go all girly and lacey, but look way better when the girls are locked and loaded!

I never like LA Senza or Penningtons as I found that They always made you 'fit' into one they had in the store for you to buy. I go to a place in London now called my top drawer and if they don't have the one you need they will order it for you. I found that an excellent feature and it sounds like those two shops in Guelph are where you should go.
Also If you have never tried a underwire. I would recommend it. I always hated it but a PROPER fitting underwire is AMAZING!

I was professionally measured and now almost all bras in that size fit..may not fit perfectly or the way I want, but I have my correct size..look for a specialty bra shop.

prior to surgery 323lbs....4 years post-op maintaining between 108- 114 lb loss.

life is AMAZING when you continue on the right path~!.  Use your surgeons gift to the fullest~!
