Costco suggestions?

I had to hijack!  Lorraine, you look fabulous!!!!!   

On the Costco front, I love it!  I have bought:

tv's
mattresses and box springs
mini fridge and freezer
lots of clothes, socks, undies
sandals
runners
pillows
tableclothes
underpads
bedsheets
cutlery
kitchen gadgets
books
video games
wii and wii games
cleaning products
cat food
vitamins
plants
shampoo

Ok, you get the hint I buy almost everything there!

Food that I often buy there is either cheaper or better quality or both compared to other places I've shopped.  My favourites are:

smoked salmon
fresh salmon
cheeses
roasts
mini bella mushrooms
greek yogurt
frozen chicken breasts
k-cups
eggs
flavoured water
apples
to name a few!

Does Costco sell nondairy milk such as "Almond Breeze"?  The savings on that could be considerable.

So many great suggestions, the pre-natal vitamins were under $10 for 270 pills (the costco brand), love the edamame, they come in a box of pre-packaged microwave bags and the Liberte greek yogurt is almost 1/2 the cost of other places..well worth the membership...also their small appliances, like coffee makers are a great price and if you like books buying them there can be worth the membership alone.

The Premier protein drink I love! Its the only protein drink I am able to drink so far.  I went back and picked up another case.  While I was there I noticed they had muscle milk light.  A bit less protein but I thought it might be a change, I did not like it.  There is a strange coconut flavour to it.  Hubby likes it so its not wasted.

I have avoided the membership thing for years but did get another membership recently, I have paid for it on a few simple items.  Example my daughter is constantly taking her nail polish off and changing it  I picked up cotton pads, same type as in shoppers for 5$ a tube-I paid 10$ for 8 tubes.  Never mind the Kleenex, toilet paper, laundry supplies and clothes.  I love their seasonal items, especially Christmas, paper bows and cards are excellent quality and price.  The only hair product I use is silk, it is really expensive but you don't use much, I bought a bottle for 10$ that everywhere else is easily 35$.  No kidding it was my hairdresser who told me to get it there. 



I also read an article recently that you can save your money simply in the pharmacy area.  I have to agree. 

Wear good walking shoes, take some water and plan on spending a few hours just wandering the place especially on your first visit.

 Just buy a gift card or get your sister to get you one.....

You now don't need to buy the membership! They will honor the gift card!

I love everyone else`s suggestions.  I wanted to add that I also bought the Premier Protein protein bars - 30 gr of protein each.

Another good item is the Sunsweet bite-size prunes.  Keeps me regular.

I also bought Proferrin, Kirkland multivitamins and Citrical Petites Calcium.

We love their pharmacy - cheapest prices on just about everything and no dispensing costs for prescriptions (Shoppers was charging a $12 fee & hubby & I get a lot of scripts). Books & magazines are a great deal and I bought a camera for an excellent price and patio furniture.  As far as food goes, we buy fresh chicken, soup, paper goods, laundry detergent, cheeses, pepperettes, yogurt, cottage cheese and cereal, just to mention a few things. At Christmas time, they have lots of great gift ideas and decorations too.
