Brenda, i have found myself doing this exact thing this past week. I guess we just have to move forward, and take 1 day at a time.  Good luck

Hi Brenda - This is completely normal as everyone has said.

You may find, like I did, that those extra few pounds pre opti came off very quickly pre-op and if it take a little longer that is ok too.

Good luck to you. I am very excited for your day to finally arrive.

Oh for sure Brenda, I was like a crazy person.  To be honest, the night before Opti-fast I was sick of food and couldn't wait to start Opti.  Sounds crazy but true!
Totally normal.

I went insane with bad food before I started Optifast. I had all my favourites. I did take out every night before I started Optifast. Plus my favourite snacks.

I started that on monday, and by wednesday I was sick of it.

I had no trouble with Optifast. The first few days are rough. But I went insane before and I haven't touched any of it since.

So don't worry, you might make yoruself sick of it too!

You are absolutely normal Brenda. I did the same thing. (As did a lot of others I spoke to because I was feeling a bit guilty.)

*hugs*

As you can see Brenda we all splurged before optifast. I stopped drinking wine and regular coffe when I went for orientation. The week before optifast, I had wine every night with my meal and loads of bread ( my biggest weakness). My blood sugars went up that week as well and they were at the lowest when I was going through the process. It was a four pound food farewell for me.

Totally did the same thing. But I was choosy about it, I only ate the things that were my absolute faves and felt I was likely saying goodbye to. By the time Optifast time came, I was ready (so I thought) and a little sick of food. Then I started Optifast for 3 weeks and I hated the taste and the first week was the hardest. I felt dizzy and weak and had cravings galore ( plus I was having trouble getting all 4 Optifast drinks in). Once the first week passed and I was diligent about getting all 4 drinks in, I physically felt better and the worst had passed.
I would do it all again for this incredible opportunity!
Cheers!

Hi Brenda,
I ate at my fav places the last weekend before opti. I wanted to get my fill ONE LAST TIME. I went to the Keg and the Mandarin. Both places I barely ate anything. I think I was getting too nervous.
BUT it was worth it.  lol

See you Tuesday night @ group.
