I find I had to move a littyle slower now, cause of the lower calorie inake.
But the worst I am so dry, been drinking like crazy.
And I have been a water person b4 I wanted surgery.

I'm on day 5 as well.  I was feeling dizzy early this afternoon.  I really think it's dehydration from the "optitrots".  I've been drinking a ton of water and it seems to be helping.

Ann, I'm starting into my 2nd week on Optifast & yes, I'm feeling a bit light-headed at times. What I really notice is that when I take my Tramacet pills (I take them daily due to chronic back pain), I seem to feel much more "spacey" than usual, since I stopped eating. I've been very lucky so far - no "Optitrots" except for one day.

For me, the first week on Optifast was the toughest. I felt lightheaded, dizzy and craved everything! It was awful! The next 2 weeks went much more smoothly as my body adjusted to the Optifast. No hunger, no cravings, no dizziness.
Hang in there-- your system is adjusting to the sudden change in caloric intake. Drink fluids to stay hydrated and you'll be fine! All the best to you!

Ann I hope you start feeling a bit better after you drink more water. Hoping that you have a better day tomorrow! I'm so proud of you!

I met a girl today her last day after drinking it for 4 and a half weeks. She said she had moments where she was really dizzy. Her doctor said to take a moment before getting up quick. He said to her is she couldn't keep drinking suck on an ice cubes she bought a shaved ice machine and said it helped her so much just that texture. For chewing, for  adding it to her optifast and when she feels water logged chewing on the ice chips helped until her tummy made room for more water! She had less dizzy spells when she added the ice. So now I'm looking for the cheap snow cone machine she bought that you self grind 16-18 dollars in the USA.

Hi Ann,

First, congratulations on your surgery date!

How long are you waiting between shakes? I think I am the only one I know that LOVED opti-fast but IF I waited longer than 4 hours, I became dizzy and actually vomited a few times.

Try to drink them every 4 hours on the dot!
