Sitting in Kelsey's with debralight discussing the confessions of the formerly fat. Our treasured memories of being super mordibly obese. Please feel free to add any we might have missed.

1.  The contortions of putting on socks.
2.  Being a dam in your own bathtub
3.  Wiping your nether regions
4.  Turnstiles
5.  Narrow chairs with arms.
6.  Cutting your toenails
7.  The dreaded airplane seats, seatbelts and the secret seatbelt extender handoff
8.  Limiting your shopping to Penningtons and Omars Tent Supplies and Accessories.
9.  Always feeling hungry and deprived; the never ending diet
10. The drier that always shrinks your clothes especially after Christmas and before summer vacation
11. Finding pants that fit that don't have an elastic waist\
12. Bathing suits; enough said
13. The only thing we can buy at walmart that fits is shoes because they carry extra wide sizes
14. The looks you get at the buffett
15. The incredibly short distance between the seat and steering wheel
16. Fitting rooms and bathroom stalls
17. Rude stares and whispered comments
18. Theatre seats
19. You have such a pretty face and fabulous personality...
20. Restaurant tables that double as a convenient boob rest
21. Walking is a threat rather than an option
22. STAIRS!!!

23.  The little private cry you have when there is somewhere special to go, you have nothing that looks appropriate, and you are so fed up and sad that crying seems like the only option.

Oh, those are great Leona and so true - ugh! I'll add a few more to your list......

27. Getting winded just from getting dressed.

28. Breaking out in a sweat after the slightest activity.

29. Always making love with the lights off 'cause you don't want to show your flab & rolls.

30. Not being able to see the scale because your stomach is in the way.

31. Being afraid to eat ice cream or fast food in public in case people make rude comments.

32. Being told by an X-Ray tech that you're too heavy for the table & you'll break it.

33. People asking you when the baby is due & you're not even pregnant.

34. Bringing your own "heavy-weight" lawn chair to outdoor get-togethers because you're afraid of breaking anyone else's.

35. Not being able to fit on the rides at amusement parks.

36. Getting into someone's car to go to lunch with co-workers and the seat belt won't close.

37. Always sitting in the back row because you want to be "invisible".

38. Not being able to ride a bike because your butt is too big for the seat.

39. Being told not to get into the canoe because they're afraid you'll sink it.

40. Wanting to go for a massage but being too embarrassed because of your size & "flab".

It's good to remember this stuff so we don't go back!

what about:

- eating dinner before a dinner party so that you didn't leave hungry or look like a glutton
- getting a diabetes and thyroid test every time you're at the dr because he just can't understand why you're so fat
- never buying a blouse because the arms are always so tight
- being told "so sorry - the ride won't accomodate you" at amusement parks - or being asked to move to another seat becauase your weight is causing the ride to be unbalanced
- going shopping with a skinny chick and spending all your time in each store look at jewelry and scarves because that's all that fits
- having to buy extenders for necklaces, because you thought they'd fit, but they don't
- politely taking clothing gifts at birthday and christmas and returning them because they are too small
