Questions about Drinks...of the alcoholic variety...
I drink mostly wine. Red. Do yourself a favour, and don't gulp down too much at once (not sure if you can at this point yet anyway). I have gotten HAMMERED because of gulping. Three times i've had very poor judgement and acted worse than a teenager. Sip it, and don't end up on the stupid side of things. lol
Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!
I don;t understand how people can drink wine...unless it's a REALLY dry wine..the sugar and sugar alcohols, in wine, coolers and fancy drinks send me over the top..actually I haven't done more than a couple of sips of a Bacardi cooler, because WOW~!!!!
Skinny Girl is in LCBO stores I saw it a couple of weeks ago I had NO idea they do not contain sugar

I stick to Coors light or have the occasional Ceasar if someone else is driving.
Just remember it doens't take much for a person who has bariatric surgery to have a high level of alcohol in their blood even if you don;t feel inberiated..also keep in mind that alcohol stays in our bodies longer than those peole with regular plumbing/stomach etc

There are no sugar alcohols in wine. There is alcohol but that is a huge difference from sugar alcohol. Coors Light actually has more carbs than a glass of merlot(which is a dry wine). The alcohol content is higher in wine than in beer so maybe it's the actual alcohol that is affecting you.

All alcohol has sugar in it as alcohol turns to sugar once consumed but you said there are sugar alcohols in wine and that is false. Everything in moderation for sure. I get like 4 grams of carbs from a glass of wine and I thoroughly enjoy it so will continue to do so.
