It is a pain. I'm from Trenton and know its not easy to get to one from there! Worth it though for the shakes! Those things rock :)

You got a bad batch is all. Take them back to Costco and get a new case. You don't have to keep them in the fridge, no.

Costco is well aware of this bad batch with December 2012 expiry date. I just returned two cases for the same reason. There were several other cases at the returns when I was there too. You don't need your receipt. They will give you a credit easy peasy. On a good note, the new ones I got are just fine.

I had a box from that batch too. Returned them with no problem without receipt. I only put a few in the fridge at a time. No need to refrigerate other than I like them cold.
