Hi there.  I  am also  through Humber.  My surgery is scheduled for Sept. 11.  So it will all depend on your  surgeon.  Hopefully you will be able to enjoy your holidays and have a stressfree move .
I know the feeling of being so ready for surgery. Patience,Patience,Patience..

I will keep my fingers crossed that you get the call and that your surgery gets scheduled at a convenient date which doesn't interfere with your other plans.  You have to live your life; you can't put everything on hold while you wait.  All the best. Muriel

Prayers sent your way.  It is frustrating when you encounter things out of your control.  Think positive.  You are already doing an awesome job.  Keep us updated.

Congrats on all the changes you have already made. You sound very ready to start this journey. I also went thru Humber (Dr Hagen). When it came time to get a date, I was able to make a request for the time and date. I don't think you have to worry about your move weekend.

Hope things settle down soon. Good luck on this exciting journey.

Andrea.

Oh boy, sounds like life is a bit hectic right now.

Just remember that when they call to give you a surgery date, you can indicate if you want a date further out if it conflicts with your current plans.  It sounds like you are ready to get the show on the road.  All the best.

I hope everything works out for you. I did not go through Humber however my schedule in May/June was hectic and I was able to pick my surgery date to fit my schedule. Now I did have to wait 2 extra weeks (in Ottawa your surgery is normally 4 weeks after you meet the surgeon and I waited 6 weeks.)

So hopefully when they call you can fit it into your schedule nicely.

I really hope you hear something soon. Sounds like pretty hectic time right now. They say moving is one of life's most stressful events, so that is enough on your plate alone.

I was estimating an April/May timeframe for my surgery and was really disappointed it was so far off. The dietician delayed me two months and my surgeon books fairly far out, so when I was finally approved in March it took almost 4 months to get a date. I screwed up my own vacation trying to plan for this and I told my boss about the surgery as well, so they have been delaying new training for me until I'm back full time and recovered, so that has been disappointing as well.

Good luck to you!
