What are you eating/doing today? (Friday)

Morning all :)

Busy day today - I have to coordinate the LUMCO (Large Urban Mayoral Caucus of Ontario) meeting this morning - wee bit nervous as I have no CLUE what these people look like (other than Hazey-baby) so it'll be a bit of a challenge taking minutes.  (Who said that?!) lol

Off to the blood clinic in the afternoon for my iron infusion - I was so pleased last week that after 3 infusions my hemoglobin had gone up to 96 - yay my blood! LOL  I know... it still sucks, but hey, at least it's going in the right direction.

B - coffee with 2 oz milk x 2, protein shake
S - small sips of water so I don't have to pee during the meeting
L - small greek salad with lots of feta
S - coffee from Tim's as I "infuse"
D - BBQ burger with all the fixin's, skip the bun, extra veggies on the side.  Hmm... I'm thinking some sauteed mushrooms would be lovely too.

5 weeks out

Another busy day at work,

I went to my family doctor for a dietician referal to get my protein correct. The centre is too busy and slow when it comes to after care appointments. My family doctor gets things done.

B - premeir protein shake, 1 medium coffee timmies with 1 cream 1 sweetener

S - 1/2 cup of greek yogart with blackberries and sweetener

L - French onion soup and crackers, going out for lunch meeting.

S - 4 salteens with laughing cow lite cheese, 1 premeir protein shake

D - Chilli and crackers

S - 1/2 cup of greek yogart with raspberries and sweetener

All my vits and water

Off to the gym for 35 min cardio and leg weights.

I want to determine the correct amount of protein when working out. I also need to create a diet that fully utilizes my malabsorption for weight loss and at the same time build muscle.

One on one with a dietician should be a part of the program. Not just fixing after the fact.

Currently I am eating every 2 hours and still can only get in 1500 calories. I should be at 2500 considering I burn 550 at the gym and it takes 2000 for me to just survive. That's not even accounting for the malabsorbtion of the RNY.

Another typical date...at my desk....I am about to escpae for my daily walk and then a bite to eat...

b- 1/3 c fat free yog. & 1/3 cup all bran. with 2 strawberries.-- i know....should have protein....didn't get to it this morning!!!! but drank lots of water!!
s- celery and tzitziki
l- baby bell, a fat free pastrami- 3 slices (12 g protein), clementine
s- grapes.
d- picnic at the beach.... what ever my hunny packs....

Going to start my learn to run program tonight.... Woohoo!!!

Working Overnights tonight so my day just started at 5pm..

Breakfast- Homemade Protein Smoothie (Pina Colada) ((Yay for Capella Drops))
Snack - Cottage Cheese Cup / 1/2 pear
Lunch- 1 cup Chicken/Shrimp Gumbo
Snack- Yogourt / 1/2 pear
Dinner- Shrimp and Mixed Greens Salad
Snack - Celery / Cheese

Lots of water with lemon slices and vitamins...
