So it may just be that I can eat real foods now, but I just had a turkey pepperette and sweet potato fries (calm down there was no deep frying), 1/2 a sweet potato mixed with 2 tsp olive oil and dijon mustard seeds then baked in the oven.
My taste buds are so happy they are considering forgiving me for the opti, full fluids, pureed crap cycle.

I am soooo afraid to try peanut butter. My pouch has also not rejected anything I am just so scared of that one.

It is so nice to be on real food. The day I could start real food was the day I didn't absolutely hate this surgery.

LOL girls!  pureed crap!  I love it!  For two suppers I BBQd some halibut for one and lean hamburg for the other this weekend and they were awesome!  That's all I needed was the meat, it was heavenly eating each morsel and I didn't even mind chewing like crazy!  They both settled so well!  In Toronto we aren't allowed a BBQ at the condo, so its so nice to be able to BBQ again! Regards, Ian

And I waited a half hour and had a watermelon smoothie for dessert so i got even more protein in!

It sure is great.  I had half a broiled chicken breast the other day and was in heaven.  The only thing I haven't tolerated was raw almonds.  Roasted ones are no problem and I even dabbled in salad.

Woo hoo!

Enjoy ladies!

I had my surgery May 10.  I go for my next appt with the nutritionist on July 5.  I was having trouble getting all my protein so I tried the  almonds.  I figure I feel alright then it is okay....the nutritionist will let me know this week.  Inhad a small amount of salad as some folksmherebsaid it took them a while before they could eat it but I was fine.

Good luck!
