Three things I am grateful for since having WLS

Nearly three years after surgery, I am grateful for many things, and yes my family, my friends, my surgery, my faith blah. . .blah. .. blah. . .these go without saying.  I was grateful for many of these things and would be even without having had WLS, but if you had to list three things you are truly grateful for that are directly linked to the fact that you had a bariatric procedure what would they be?

Mine are:

1.  Feeling full "satiated" after I eat
2.  Running up and down stairs without a second thought
3.  Not having to worry about chairs with arms on them

Good one.  You're right - SO many things.  But I guess my top 3 would be...

1) not embarrassing my family and friends by having to hang around "fat mom" (and defend me to friends etc.)
2) freedom from the "obese restraints" that exist in society - I fit in every chair, I can ride every ride, I can get through every door, I can do any damn thing I want without being outside the "normal" sized parameters.
3) saving money - on food, on clothes (I buy WAY more for much less on the non-plus side!) etc.

I'm fairly "new" as my RNY was in April, BUT I am already greatful for so many things....

1.  No more diabetes meds
2.  My joints are happier now and not complaining very much at all
3.  All of the wonderful people I have already met during this journey and the ones I will meet!  This is a great community to be part of, both on line and at support group in London!

Great post!

1.  Finding my old friend ME again.  The person that I was meant to be.

2. Buying clothes in regular stores that are cute AND comfortable.

3. Just plain feeling and being more healthy.

Great idea for a post :)

The three things I am grateful for are:

1. finally being able to keep up with my fiance when we are walking, and carry on a conversation at the same time! I'm no longer puffing and out of breath.

2. that I know my limits for eating food, and I don't feel as though I have to stuff myself to feel satisfied

3. all the great bargains I get on clothes now! stuff actually fits for once :)

 My grateful list:

1.  Shopping where I want.  Fitting into "one size fits all". No more penningtons.
2.  No more worrying about fitting into small spaces or cars, turnstiles, climbing up stairs, etc
3.  All the nice people I've met through oh, my support group and all the different wls communities.

So far I'm grateful for

1. The ability to feel full. I love that!
2. Loose clothes
3. A sense of hope and anticipation.
