FITBIT

Has anybody ordered one from the States, was the shipping expensive and is it worth it?  I use MyFitnesspal to track my food and this seems to compliment it.

Thanks for your opinions

Laurie

love my fitbit!  has gone through the wash twice and still ticking! I think it was about 20 bucks for shipping and handling.  Don't quote me though, I barely remember what I had for lunch!  LOL  Ian

 What is fitbit?

Had RNY surgery July 22/11, St. Joe's Hamilton, with the awesome Dr. Scott Gmora.  Had abdominoplasty August 2/13, Scarborough, with equally awesome Dr. Michael Kreidstein.

It is a pedometer that connects wirelessly or with a USB port and updates to Myfitnesspal, I think it does more than count steps.  I think it calculates your fitness and updates Myfitnesspal.com

LOVE my Fitbit! Counts steps, miles, number of sets of stairs climbed and it greets you first thing in the morning! And ladies, unlike the ones that fall off of your waistband, this one attaches to your bra. You sinc it up to your computer and it keeps track of your progress. Go to the website http://www.fitbit.com/ and check it out. You can track your activities and your food as well. Just remember to take it off your bra at night so you don't put it in the wash. Must be what happened to Ian?
LOVE my Fitbit!

It is the most motivational (and kick you in the butt too if you slack off) device I have ever seen!  It even sync's to my iphone so I can see on my phone what I have done re steps, distance, calories, etc.   Highly recommend it!  I found it here, someone mentioned it and I googled it.  Regards, Ian

I just looked it up, and I don't see where it says that it updates MyFitnessPal - it looks to me like it has its own app for your smartphone (if you have an Android or iPhone).

This looks neat - I might order one too!

Do you have to pay a monthly fee or anything for your account?
