So I had my first appointment which is technically my 3 month appointment. I met 2 of the nurses and they are both awesome.
They are happy with my progress so far and we are just awaiting my bloodwork to come back to see how bad my levels may be due to having a hard time getting the Vitamins in...She said not to stress too much about it and that its going to take time to find the right ones for me.
They are very happy with my weight loss so far and said that I am within the guidelines of where I should be. She was more concerned with how I am coping with the changes and wanted to be sure I wasn't disappointed with the success I have had so far. Which I am NOT!! I love the fact I have lost 60 pounds in such a short time. I love that clothing I wore last year this time falls off me and that people keep telling me its time to retire my comfy shirts because they are too big. I love my RNY.
So for anyone nervous about transfering their file Post-op to Kingston if its closer for you, I give them 2 thumbs up so far!!

Wow that awesome, good for you, I have been referred there. I am happy with how nice the ppl are who anser the phone, but I am getting impatient with the wait times. I know ppl who were referred to toronto and had surgey in 4 months. Its taking longer than that for even an info session. Did you find the wait times bad?
However, congrats on your success !!!! Your positive experience is motivation for me !!!!

Because I am post-op now I only waited less than a week for a transfer, so I am not sure on the total wait time for Kingston.

I had my surgery in Ottawa
My referral was made last February (2012), and surgery was 2 weeks ago. After care in Kingston is good, they are very easy to get a hold of and are very knowledgeable!
I had the surgery done in Ottawa and even they have called me for follow up, the dietician there and someone else.
I too just had my bloodwork done, but have heard nothing about my levels, yet!
