tummy tuck.. breast lift

I am just curious about a few things.. I am pretty sure I have separated abdominal muscles and was wondering if here in ontario that is covered because of the separated muscles, not the weight loss. and also if a breast lift or implants would be in any way shape or form.. I had a reduction 20 years ago.. and now with the wieght loss they are super saggy and the nipples are oddly shaped now. is there any way OHIP covers any of this if not any surgeons near windsor that might do either or both of these and costs?

As far as I know breast implants have no chance for coverage, but reconstruction or another reduction might, but only a plastic  surgeon working with OHIP can say it for sure in your specific case.

As for the "separated muscles"... If it is hernia, it is covered, but not the full abdominoplasty, just the muscle repair. You can combine/coordinate it with plastic surgery and save some money off the plastics bill - I had this case, saved around 2K. The co-ordination of the surgeries is not a trivial task though - both of your surgeons  - plastic and general have to have privileges with the same hospital and be willing to cooperate. start with making an appointment with a general surgeon, regarding possible hernia and go from there.

mine isnt a hernia but actual separated abdominal muscles and they need to be sewn back together and to do that they have to do a tummy tuck.. so i dont know.. i go to my doctors on monday but was just trying to get a heads up on what would be covered and what wouldnt..thanks for the information. :)

The separated muscles will not get you coverage for a tummy tuck. (Mine was the worst case my plastic surgeon had ever seen.)
Breast lift and implants are also not covered.
Ohip will possbly cover two things Panniculectomy and Breast Reduction.
Saggy boobs and oddly shaped nipples are cosmetic fixes.
I have information on very good plastic surgeons in the London area if you would like it.
Each area of the body will cost anywhere from 5-8K depending on the type of surgery.
