 Welcome home I feel your pain since I was there twice. Please please follow the low fibre diet. I thought I was and still ended up with a second bowel block and urgent surgery. Do yourself a favor and go on restoralax once daily. The gastro doc told me to take it everyday to keep bowel wet. This will help it not to kink and twist. Has worked like a charm for me.
Im very happy that your ok you were in our prayers. Feel blessed with Monica in your corner your very lucky to have such good friends. Take care and listen to your gut.

 Yes and there is no Flavour to it at all I put it into my decaf tea every morning. It's non habit forming and keeps the bowel wet ans slippery. You can get it at costco with a bonus pack now for 22.00.
Its a lifesaver.

 Oh Kelly!! Thank you! I started on Restirilax for a few days and it worked....great at first and then too well. So I stopped. And here I am back to day three without going again. That is a GREAT sale at Costco!!

Your experience reminds me of the movie The Doctor, with William Hurt.  He plays a big shot doctor who has cancer and suddenly finds himself the patient, and gets a good look at things from the other side of the scalpel.  In the end, when he's back to work, his group of interns have to pick a disease out of a jar, and then they have to experience every test associated with that disease - so they can experience first hand what their patients will possibly experience.  A good lesson, and it sounds like some of your people could do with such a lesson.

Very glad you're on the mend.  We all value you around here, and it's not the same without you.
