Hamilton/Burlington WLS Support Meeting

Hi All, The next meeting will be on Sat. September 29th., 10:00 a.m. until noon. Discussion topic. along with everything else talked about, will be "Celebrations". This meeting marks our 1 year anniversary as a WLS group! Hope everyone can make it and as always, it would be great to welcome some new faces! Meeting location is 3800 Southampton Blvd. in Burlington.  It is in the Community Room of the Police Services Building just off Walkers Line.

Hi! I am having my orientation October 1st. Are preop people welcome? How many people go to these meetings? And what do you normally talk about?

 Hi Yes you can go for it if you have not had your surgery yet . The meetings are very good info. Most of the times there are usually around 10 people or some more that come out to this you wont be disappointed

Hi Nicole!  Pre-ops are definetly welcome to come to the meetings!  We usually have a topic to discuss each month but it is mostly open discussion on what members need help with.  We have people at different stages.  3 months out, a year and up to 5 years out.  It is basically sharing of information.  If you need to know about something usually someone has "been there done that".
As a pre-op I am sure you have lots of questions.  We are not medical people but we can share our experiences with you.
Right now we have about 10 - 12 members and hope to grow.  It would be great to have you join us!

Hi Allison,  We do think about you and keep hoping that our schedules will match.  Maybe the November schedule will work out.  We were also talking about doing something for the holidays and will be sure to keep you in the loop for that.
