Morning all :)

Wi**** was Saturday again! I have NO CLUE what the hell I'm doing up this early, other than Bryan had to go to work at around 4:00 and I think I've been up (semi-conscious anyway) since. AND I need more coffee. AND I might actually be hungry. But only for a Tim Horton's cheese croissant. Laden with cheddar and sliced tomatoes. Oy. Oh! And toasted, thank you! Too funny, I'm actually checking the time the little Tim's attached to the gas station on the corner opens, online. Time for a walk!

RNY 6.5 years post-op (maintenance)

B - fantastic huge coffee with milk from Tim's, sucky protein shake
S - I can't even type about it it's so good croissant (yeah, not happening. Bacon and eggs it is then!)
L - tin of tuna mixed with mayo and green onions, 6 melba rounds for crunch
S - I'm craving a chai fog
D - you're gonna laugh, but I'm making the stuffed mushrooms AGAIN.

Have a wonderful day :)

 Good Morning!

Checking out of the B&B spa retreat this morning after a fabulous breakfast of unmentionable gluteny goodness!  Have to reinstall a venmar humifier (after a concrete workman decided it would be OK to take apart and leave...)  and load some wood for a garage shelf building session planned for Tuesday.

b; 2 black coffees and gluteny goodnesses
s; protein bar
l; shrimp w seafood sauce
s; pear w greek yoghurt & granola sprinkle
d; shrimp (M&M sale on bigass shrimp ring)
s; probably not

Have a grand day!

M&M sale?  I can always use more shrimp!

Sad face. Walked all the way to Tim's.  Closed 'til 7:00.  What the hell, people?

MAD face.  Walked all the way back.  Still not open. Good practice for our challenge that starts tomorrow.

Oh one more comment - I don't know what a venmar humifier is, but good luck with that!

RNY 3.5 years post op

Good morning;

Had a great nights sleep....and lost two pounds overnight...lol......the power of soup!...no seriously, I have really been watching my eating....finally paying off

Playing golf this morning....walking a very hilly course and pulling my bag so it burns a ton of calories.....then home to watch the Ryder cup

Eats for losing:

B - 2 large mugs of coffee
      Premier protein shake

S - small OH Yeah protein bar on the course
-medium honey crisp apple on the course

L - Caprese salad..( tomatoes/ fresh buffalo mozzarella/ fresh basil and a bit of olive oil), plus 4 oz grilled chicken breast

S - Greek yogurt

D - home made veggie beef soup - 1 cup or so

S - 8 triscuits with 45 gr of cheddar melted on top

FITDAY totals for the above are:  Calories - 1,613,  Fat - 72 grams,  Carbs - 114 grams,  Protein- 151 grams

Percentages are:  Fat 37%, Protein 36% and Carbs 26%....fibre 25 grams and I can use it!!

I may add 2 ham and cheese roll ups if still hungry.....4 hours of golf out in the
fresh cold air usually makes me ravenous....but I will still lose on this

That is why its important during your quick losing phase to eat enough of the right things ....a vet taught me this early out....don't starve yourself the first 18 months.....don't go overboard either....but eat enough and vary your daily totals - especially when you are over a year.....the first year your surgery will determine how much you can consume....but after....don't settle on 8 or 900 calories per day...because eventually you will want to increase this and your body needs to be able to handle this

This is an opinion only....but it has worked for me.....don't starve yourself....just eat properly

All water and vits.....plus some decaf coffee

Have a great one....I sure will!!

Thanks Karen

Re the golf.....I get a little nervous - still....when I have to walk 18 holes pulling my bag....even though I have been working out for 2 plus years......its very strenuous and requires endurance.....its the endurance that gets me....some days good and some days I am exhausted after 9 holes......that's what getting older does to you

I appreciate your comment re. endurance.  I can totally relate to that.  I can GO GO GO but then I'm dead in the water.  Working to try to increase the endurance - that is my goal I guess.

Have I mentioned that we're (haha) boycotting Tims?  Since they weren't open on time for me this morning after 2 long walks.

Oh.  I'd take a medium 2 milks though if you're passing by.
