OT: Is there a site where I can send a text to someone via internet?

Maybe yes, maybe no.  It's a MAN'S perogative to get back in touch apparently.

you can do it through email too... if you wanted to send a text to a bell phone for instance you would do it like this...

(cell number with area code)@txt.bell.ca 

There is one for every cellular provider... You just send it like an email and it shows up on their phone as a text.

Just for FUTURE reference...

Yahoo messenger. They have the one you download, and the web based one... You can send and recieve texts from a yahoo messenger account. You log into your messenger account and send a SMS message.

*cough* free *cough*

And can actually be used on a smart phone with the yahoo messenger as well (or it could last I tried) and basically allows you to keep your phone number confidential...
Cause you know... sometimes you want to text someone in New Mexico and tell her that she's a %&^#_&(_&#!
