Thanks Karen. Had a painful night last night, awake lots etc. I'm trying to take less dilaudid(not sure the spelling) for pain and trying to take Tylenol instead. The dilaudid just makes me sleepy and zaps the energy out of me. I don't mind resting but don't want to spend the day sleeping.

Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!

Take more drugs!! Then  you'll forget why you're laughing....but it won't hurt :-)

Good morning!  I hear you on the crabby with the hubby thing.  My husband has been telling me for a couple of weeks before opti started that he was fully expecting me to be in a miserable mood - I think he was preparing for it!  So far, though, I've managed not to take it out on him too much.  And the once or twice that I've gotten snappy, I caught myself and said, "Okay, this is my hunger and withdrawal talking here."

Of course, it's only day 3, so we'll see how long it will take before I really get ugly... :)

I'm sure your hubby understands.

Good Morning....Happy Friday ! 

Felt crappy all day yesterday and wasn't able to eat my poached egg dinner last night.....had 1 cup of "low carb chicken soup" instead (nice recipe I got off here somewhere?).  Pretty sure I had a reaction to the flu shot I got on Wed.... usually am not affected by it....oh well.....feeling better today 

B - Premier choc shake + 1 T Flax seed
S - 1 Sorrento Stringster reduced fat, 100% Natural string cheese
L - 1 Hard boiled egg + 1/4 c. Edamame beans
D - 1 can Cloverleaf Smoked Oysters w/1 T Walden Farms Seafood sauce +
      30g steamed Cauliflower + 1 T Flaxseed

TOTALS:    603 CAL;    23G CARB;    30G FAT;    61G PROT;    11G FIBER
